Focusing on Integrating Functional Screens, Proteomics, and Genomics to better understand Cancer

Welcome to the Major lab. Feel free to check out our publications and research!

Illuminating the 'Dark Kinome'

We have an ongoing study to illuminate the understudied kinome, a set of kinases which remain relatively uncharacterized. The Major lab is defining the protein-protein interaction and proximity networks for these kinases.

NRF2/KEAP1

KEAP1/NRF2 Signaling in Cancer

The KEAP1/NRF2 signaling pathway is abrogated in a myriad of cancers, notably in lung and head and neck cancers. We have several projects connecting KEAP1 genotype with phenotype as well as generated a patient derived conditional mutant NRF2 GEMM.

Brittan's goodbye

At the end of July, Chase and Brittany will be leaving the lab and as for a going away party the lab did an escape room! We were split into two teams and battled it out. It was close but Chase's team narrowly won, although through luck. Brittany's team took the moral win ;) Good luck in Michigan!

We had a socially distanced get together to celebrate pretty much everything good that had happened in 2020. Chase ran home and got his drone to take a picture of all of us. Unfortunately it couldn't get high enough and didn't quite get Isaac, our rotation student, in the picture. Sorry Isaac!
